The University Games Village is located in the Privolzhsky district of Kazan, which is not far from the city center. It is a real residential estate built specifically for the 27th World Summer University Games 2013 to house athletes and other delegation members. Before and after the University Games it has been used as a new student campus of the Kazan Federal University, Volga State Academy of Physical Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Volga Interregional IT-School as well as the Federal Training Center of Russian national teams on summer sports and it is the largest in Russia.
The non-residential part of the village includes International Administrative and Information Center with training and laboratory building of the Academy of Physical Culture, Sports and Tourism and the world's first University Games Museum. There are other administrative units such as the Tennis Academy, the indoor swimming pool named Burevestnik, a stadium, a trade and service center, a canteen, a modern medical complex with a sports medicine center, a polyclinic and a health unit, a pharmacy, a post office and other buildings for cultural and general purpose. The station of public order maintenance works around the clock.
The residential part contains 28 comfortable houses. It is impossible to get into the University Games Village for no reason, as the gating system operates here.
