The Aquatics Palace is one of the most important facilities of the 2013 Summer University Games. It is an indoor sports complex which is now used for a variety of competitions as well as training in synchronized swimming, diving and swimming. The complex seating capacity is 4 200 spectators. It is also used as a multipurpose Sports Palace, as there is a fitness and medical center along with the rooms for swimming and diving. A distinctive feature of the facility is a lifting floor installed in the diving and competition pools. Due to this technology the pool depth can be changed at any time depending on the activities that are going to take place. Palace will host guests as a competition arena of the 2015 World Aquatics Championships in Kazan.
