The "Konniy Dvor" ("Horse Yard") on the island of Sviyazhsk is a craft workshop. Travelers will see how the blacksmith at work, and even mould pots on the potter's wheel and emboss patterns on leather. Here, you can ride on horseback in the arena or in the city on a carriage, and even feed the thoroughbred horses in the stables. In the "Craft Village" you can make your own souvenirs and get a master class from some of the best craft experts of the country. Having worked up an appetite, be sure to try a variety of traditional Russian dishes at the "Traktir" restaurant.

The history of the workshops began in the second half of the 16th century, when the Holy Assumption Monastery acquired a horse yard. In 2012, after a large-scale reconstruction, an ethnographic complex was created here.
