Dom Tatarskoi Kulinarii (House of Tatar Cuisine)

The national cuisine restaurant situated along the Bauman pedestrian street was founded in 1969 by Tatar culinary specialist and author of the book "Dishes of Tatar cuisine" - Yunus Akhmetzyanov. He was the head chef of the House of Tatar Cuisine until 1984. In this restaurant, almost all dishes are prepared based on his own recipes. The dishes here are standard as what you would see in many other national cuisine establishments, but prepared using time tested recipes and traditions. Here you will find out what true, authentic echpochmak, kazylyk, gubadiya, talkysh kaleve and tokamach taste like. The interior of the restaurant combines monumentality and national flavour: gold leaf decorations, mosaic tile art, marble and mahogany. Here, guests of the restaurant can not only eat delicious food, but also let their hair down and have some fun. In the evenings, you’ll be entertained by live music or attend one of the many master classes about preparing national dishes that are held here regularly.
