Museum "The city Panorama"

Museum "Gorodskaya Panorama" ("City Panorama") is a modern interactive museum dedicated to the 1,000-year history of Kazan, where you can explore the city through mock-ups, starting from the period of the Kazan Khanate of the 15th-16th centuries and ending with modern day Kazan. The video wall plays a bird’s eye view of the city and visitors can even use the 3D joystick controls to set the desired viewing direction, as if hovering over the capital of Tatarstan in real time. On the round screen in the video panorama hall you can watch a short film about Kazan of the 19th and 20th centuries and get better acquainted with the story of Zilant - the mythical creature symbol of the city. With the help of augmented reality technology, this is one of the only places where you will be able to shake hands with Tsar Peter I or take a selfie with the Tatar poet Gabdulla Tukay and other famous historical figures. For children, there is a hall with an Xbox featuring a game, the plot of which is based on the ancient legend of the emergence of Kazan. The brave batyr will have to fight snakes and, after defeating them all, must go in to fight the Zilant dragon to win the game. If you get hungry, there is also a cafe here, created to portray a 19th-20th century city tram. Come here to embark on a virtual trip over five routes laid in 1899, while you are treated to national pastries and fragrant tea.
