The professional female volleyball team was established in Kazan in September 2002. At that time the team of the charming athletes was called Kazanochki and only in 2008 they found a new name for the club. In the 2008/2009 season the club found their way under the caring wing of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Tatarstan and acquired a new name, Dinamo-Kazan. The Volleyball Club is the four times Russian Champion, the Champions League winner and the bronze medalist, two times winner and the two times finalist of the Russian Cup, as well as the Club World Cup winner.
