Cafes and Restaurants
Bilyar
Restaurants of this chain have tried their best to ensure that each one resembles a cozy Tatar house. Their broth served with pies, and the gubadiya, are as good as a davanika’s ("grandmother" in translation from Tatar), and the log walls, woven carpets and stove will make you feel like you are dining in a typical Tatar village home. The restaurants also have a variety of western dishes, prepared with just as much care as the national ones on the menu. If you’re new to Tatar food, but are brave enough to immerse yourself in the national cuisine, choose anything on the menu that contains the word "Batyr" or "Sabantuy" – you won’t go wrong.
