Steep slopes, dark underground corridors, grottos and wells – this is all part of the Yurievskaya cave. These caves are located in the Kamsko-Ustinsky district of Tatarstan in the Bogorodsky mountains, which have been considered a natural monument since 1986. The age of the caves is over 10 thousand years old, their total length spanning over 1005 metres. The Yurievskaya cave is very easy to get around, however at the risk of getting lost, visitors should only venture through the underground labyrinths with a tour guide. Those who dare to go inside the cave will find clean springs and an underground lake, which freezes in winter, creating an idyllic ice skating rink.
