Autodrome Kazan Ring

The race track is located on the outskirts of Kazan near the M7 federal highway. Its construction began in 2006 and took five years to complete. Herman Tilke, the German architect, race car driver and developer of Formula 1 race tracks participated in its development. The first official race on the Kazan Ring track took place in 2011. The track stretches for 3,476 kilometres with an elevation difference of 28 metres. A unique feature of the track is that it’s designed for cars to travel counter-clockwise around it - a highly unusual and rare phenomenon in motorsport. Car races are held here regularly – the Russian Motorsport Championship, the Russian Drift Series, the Mitjet Russian Cup, the Russian Endurance Challenge, the Tatarstan Championship Racing and the Granata Cup in the Open Cup of the Republic of Tatarstan
